¿Interesado en aprender a caminar con raquetas de nieve? ¿Busca una excusa para salir al aire libre? ¡Únase a nosotros en el Parque Estatal Sylvan Lake el sábado 23 de enero para una tarde de diversión al aire libre! Dirigida por el personal de Colorado Parks and Wildlife, esta caminata guiada de una milla y media por el lago es una gran oportunidad para hacer algo de ejercicio, pasar tiempo en la naturaleza y aprender sobre la historia de Sylvan Lake. Nuestras 9 cabañas con calefacción están disponibles para alquilar durante todo el año y son ideales para una escapada familiar de fin de semana. El lago en el Parque Estatal Sylvan Lake tiene 42 acres, está lleno de truchas y es perfecto para un día tranquilo de pesca en hielo con amigos. Para aquellos que son nuevos en la pesca en hielo, pueden conectarse en línea y reservar nuestra chabola de pesca, ¡y tener todo cuidado por usted! Se proporcionan agujeros pretaladrados, cañas de pescar y equipo para que pueda disfrutar del día sin necesidad de comprar todo el equipo. Se requiere una licencia de pesca válida para cualquier persona mayor de 16 años. Las millas del Bosque Nacional White River que rodean el parque brindan un excelente acceso al aire libre para andar en motos de nieve, esquí de fondo, fotografía y trineos. Activities at Sylvan Lake this Saturday and during the winter

Interested in learning how to snowshoe? Looking for an excuse to get out in the fresh air? Come join us at Sylvan Lake State Park on Saturday, January 23rd for an afternoon of outdoor fun! Led by Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff, this guided mile and a half lake loop hike is a great opportunity to get some exercise, spend time in nature, and learn about the history of Sylvan Lake. All abilities are welcome, and snowshoes and poles will be provided at no cost. Bring the whole family! Two time slots are available to reserve, 11-12:30pm, or 1-2:30pm.

If you are unable to make the snowshoe event, or are looking for alternatives to snowshoeing, there is plenty to do at the park throughout the winter. Our 9 heated cabins are available to rent year-round and make for a great family weekend getaway. Sylvan's trout filled 42 acre lake is perfect for a peaceful day of ice fishing with friends. For those new to ice fishing, you can go online and reserve our fishing shanty, and have everything taken care of for you! Pre-drilled holes, fishing poles, and gear are provided so that you can enjoy the day without needing to purchase all of the equipment. A valid fishing license is required for anyone over the age of 16. The miles of White River National Forest that surround the park provide great outdoor access for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, photography, and sledding. With the endless recreation opportunities available, there's something for everyone. A $9 parks pass is required for entry to Sylvan Lake.
