Fresh off the Trail: Paintbrush Sighting

Written by Walking Mountains | Jul 20, 2017 10:06:14 PM

It is the time of the year we like to play “find the color of the sunset!” and the easiest way is to look for the gorgeous paintbrush blooms. Check out the yellow alpine varieties on exposed mountain peaks or to hike through fields of magenta, fuchsia, and maroons, check out Uneva Peak or Kokomo Pass. All paintbrush are members of the figwort family like the pink elephant heads and the louseworts we see in wet meadows.
