With winter just around the corner, Walking Mountains is bringing you energy savings tips for the entire month of November. 1.) Install a programmable thermostat. With a programmable thermostat, you can set your system to automatically turn down the heat while you are asleep or at work during the day but have it warm when you are home.
2.) During winter, open curtains and blinds during the day to utilize natural light to help heat your home and close them at night to help keep the warm air inside.
3.) Make sure doorways, windows, air ducts, walls, and attics are all adequately and properly sealed to help keep your home insulated and prevent heat from escaping.
