EVOM: Mujeres En La Naturaleza

En honor a las grandes contribuciones que hacen las mujeres latinas e hispanas en este condado, EVOM celebra el Mes De La Mujer dando reconocimiento a todas nuestras participantes y nuestro total agradecimiento. La prioridad de EVOM ha sido proveer a nuestra comunidad actividades al aire libre de poco a ningún costo y es donde hemos conocido extraordinarias mujeres trabajadoras, dedicadas a su familia y vistas como un pilar fundamental en sus hogares. Entienden la importancia de la naturaleza, su alrededor y los beneficios que conlleva esto, por ende instruyen y apoyan activamente todas nuestras actividades.  

Todo lo que el ser humano ha necesitado, lo encontramos en la naturaleza. Es la madre naturaleza quien nos provee los recursos necesarios comida, agua, refugio, entretenimiento, etc. Es donde vemos la importancia de ella y estas mujeres no han hecho ninguna excepción del reconocimiento de estos factores. Ven la necesidad de que su familia, amistades y conocidos entiendan e se eduquen en los beneficios que estar en la naturaleza. Esta primavera no es la excepción, con tantas actividades que EVOM tiene planificado para ustedes y su familia, nos vemos en el honor de homenajear a nuestras participantes.  

Tenemos una participación grande de mujeres latinas e hispanas en todas nuestras actividades y nos enorgullece poder compartir sus experiencias con EVOM. Rocio Garcia una de nuestras participantes nos comparte que “Me encantan, he aprendido muchas cosas y hacer las actividades al aire libre es mi parte favorita. Conocemos a gente nueva de nuestra comunidad con las cuales hemos aprendido a sacar lo mejor de nosotros mismos y transmitirlo a nuestros hijos.” La mujer latina e hispana se destaca por ser una mujer trabajadora, y en búsqueda de un lugar seguro para criar a su familia. Muchas han encontrado cabida en este hermoso condado sin pensar dos veces el costo que tiene; “Creo que necesitamos más organización que nos representen pues en el grupo socio económico de este valle tiene mucha diferencia pues vivimos en una zona turística donde nos mezclamos con gente millonaria y nuestra comunidad tiene que subsistir hasta con dos trabajos y eso sin mencionar la barrera del idioma y esa es una de las razones por lo cual nuestra comunidad o hace actividades de recreación por su costo.” En búsqueda de actividades al aire libre seguras y familiares, EVOM ha entrado como pilar en muchas actividades donde brilla la participación de nuestras mujeres latinas e hispanas.

Rocío (participante) nos comparte que “EVOM me ha ayudado a explorar las posibilidades y conocer las organizaciones que ayudan a mediar con el costo de las actividades en el valle. Estoy muy agradecida por esa oportunidad, Renata ha sido un punto clave en el desarrollo de este programa siempre lista para ayudar con equidad hacia nuestra comunidad dando oportunidad a todos por igual. EVOM: Women In Nature

In honor of the great contributions that Latino and Hispanic women make in this county, EVOM celebrates Women's Month by recognizing all of our participants and our total gratitude. EVOM's priority has been to provide our community with outdoor activities at little to no cost and it is where we have met extraordinary hard working women, dedicated to their family and seen as a fundamental pillar in their homes. They understand the importance of nature, its surroundings and the benefits that this entails, therefore they actively instruct and support all our activities.  

Everything that the human being has needed, we find it in nature. It is Mother Nature who provides us with the necessary resources: food, water, shelter, entertainment, etc. It is where we see the importance of it and these women have made no exception of acknowledging these factors. They see the need for their family, friends and acquaintances to understand and educate themselves on the benefits of being in nature. This spring is no exception, with so many activities that EVOM has planned for you and your family, we look forward to honoring our participants.  We have a large participation of Latina and Hispanic women in all of our activities and we are proud to be able to share their experiences with EVOM. Rocio Garcia, one of our participants, shares with us that “I love them, I have learned many things and doing outdoor activities is my favorite part. We meet new people from our community with whom we have learned to get the best out of ourselves and pass it on to our children. " The Latino and Hispanic woman stands out for being a working woman, and in search of a safe place to raise her family. Many have found a place in this beautiful valley without thinking twice about the cost; "I think we need more organization to represent us because in the socio-economic group of this valley it has a lot of difference because we live in a tourist area where we mix people and our community has to subsist with up to two jobs and that is not to mention the barrier of the language and that is one of the reasons why our community does not do recreational activities for its cost. '' In search of safe and family outdoor activities, EVOM has been a pillar in many activities where the participation of our Latino and Hispanic women shines.

Rocío (participant) shares that “EVOM has helped me explore the possibilities and learn about the organizations that help mediate the cost of activities in the valley. I am very grateful for that opportunity, Renata has been a key point in the development of this program, always ready to help our community with equity, giving opportunity to everyone equally. I am very grateful for the opportunity and the learning that EVOM has given me.
