Eagle County Eco TransitPublic Transit Makes You Fit

Did you know people who use public transit are said to get more than 3x the amount of physical activity per day than those who don’t just by walking to and from their transit stops and final destination? Here are some ways to bring more activity into your daily commute.

What You Can Do

  • Locate the bus stop near you. Figure out the distance you'd be walking each day to get to and from work if you were to take the bus and find creative ways to include a workout within that stretch!

  • Sign up for the Summer Sole Power Challenge. Log your trips made by foot, bike, or skating, and see how you rank among other challengers in the community!
  • Give biking to work a try! Bike to work day is June 24th so there's plenty of time between now and then to hop on your bike and test out your commute!
